Stick Another One on the Barbie!

Our first Australian Barbie!!! Mr. Happy and I were very excited to try out BBQ’ing Aussie style.

We stopped at IGA to pick up supplies (They have IGA here! Incidentally, they also have Target and Kmart).

We drove to Hilary Beach to grill up our grub.

Interesting fact: In Perth, BBQ gas is free! All you need to do is push a button on the Barbie and you are good to go. Also, the grills are flat, so there is no grill…Also, no one drinks Foster beer which was the one Aussie beer I could name. I haven’t even seen it for sale here. Gotta admire that marketing…

We cooked up Worchester and black pepper sausages, halloumi cheese, Portobello mushrooms, peppers and onions.

It was soooooo good!!!! I really miss this type of food in KL.

We relaxed by the beach and enjoyed our picnic with a bottle of Aussie sauvignon blanc. Despite worries that we'd purchased too much food, we polished it all off quite nicely.

We arrived home in time to watch the sun set over the sea.

A perfect day!
