Singapore to Bangkok

It is already our last day in Singapore! Mr. Happy had another meeting so the parents and I make the most of our remaining time by taking a taxi to Clark's Quay. It's pretty empty at this time of day, but we were glad we got to see it. Apparently it's a hopping night spot.

We enjoyed a nice lunch.

Then it was time to get to the airport. We couldn’t check in without Mr. Happy because we had his luggage. So we waited for him while enjoying some vanilla ice cream!

I really liked the Changai airport! They gave us free bags, they had free activities, a water fountain (I’m easy to please), and best of all free foot massages!! Who needs to go to Thailand?

Us apparently. I snuck this photo out on the tarmac.

We arrived in Bangkok and checked into our hotel the Imm Fusion. It’s a budget place, but really nice!

The father accompanied Mr. Happy who rushed over to our Bangkok tailor, Narin, to get fitted for a custom made suit. Narin needed every minute in order to have it finished before we left.

The mother and I went out for a bite to eat. At the front desk they warned us against the hawkers outside, but we refused to have our culinary adventurousness quelled. We dined on phad thai and shrimp fried rice washed down with some Chang beer. The cost? About $7 US – that’s mostly because of the beer. The food was only about $1.50 US. Despite the stray dogs, feral cats, and what my mother described as “the distinct smell of vomit” we had an enjoyable meal.
